The Big Reveal

Good Monday morning to all! I had a fantastic Halloween weekend. Our yearly Halloween bash went off without a hitch. Great DJ, good food and fantastic friends! Lot's of great costumes too!

I know I've been talking about how Halloween is a super busy time for me because of time I spend on our costumes.  This year was no exception. Our costumes were a HUGE HIT! Check it out!

I loved making these costumes. Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory was one of my favorite movies growing up. I had originally planned on my hubby being Willy Wonka but he decided he liked the Oompa Loompa better.  I just realized that they didn't take a picture of our shoes. That's a major bummer too. I blew up balloons and drew brown swirls on them to replicate the things the Ooopma Loompa's had on their shoes. So what do you think of the costume in general? Did we pull it off?

Have a great day lovelies!

Halloween and thrifting

With Halloween coming up and us having our yearly party, my niece asked me to convince my son to be a "T-Bird" from Grease (the original) since she is going to be a pink lady. I was able to convince him. Especially since he has the jeans, converse and white t-shirt.  I thought about going to a thrift store to buy him the jacket, however.....my dilemma is the "T Birds" on the back of it.  I did a search to see if there was such a thing as leather paint. Low and behold there is!! My question is, how do you use it? Just like regular paint?  I need to be able to make it look similar to the pic below

What do you think? Would it be possible? If you have any other suggestions on how to accomplish this look, I'm all ears!
