What I Wore - May 29, 2012

I know...I'm a total slacker when it comes to blog posts. In my defense, I did start a new full time job and have been super busy in training. So much so, that I haven't even been able to list any new items in my Etsy shop. GASP! Not that I don't have a TON of stuff to list, I literally just don't have the time right now.

This time of year is always so busy with events (graduations, Mother's Day, Father's Day, my hubby's birthday and of course, vacation time!).  My weekends are pretty much all booked until the 3rd weekend in July.  So for now, you'll be getting a lot of the what I wore posts :)

I am definitely not complaining by any means though. Life is pretty good right now. I am in a good place with my weight loss too! Hopefully, you'll be able to tell with the pics below.  I've lost a total of 64 lbs. I am ecstatic! I have not been this thin since before I got pregnant with my son....21 years ago!! Not only do I feel better about my self physically, but also mentally.  Although, I still have some adjusting to do when it comes to shopping. I still tend to walk over to the plus sized clothing and pick up a size 16, only to realize...hey DUMMY, you wear a size 9/10 now! (I can't believe those words just came out of my mouth...or out of my keyboard) ;)

This was me at the beginning of December.

Vintage top: thrifted
Shorts: Old Navy

This is me now....what do you think?

Top: Ross

Vintage belt: thrifted
Vintage bracelets: estate sale
Vintage doctors bag: Passe Nouveau Vintage

Please forgive the lack of a hairstyle. I am quite lazy when it comes to my hair.
Have a great week loves!

xoxo

  1. You look wonderful. And for the amount of time, you can tell you've been working tremendously hard to reach your goals and that is very respectable! Very well done! I'm curious to know: do you find that with your new shape, that your vintage go-to styles from when you were heavier no longer flatter you? How did you figure out what to wear? Many kudos to you for a job well done. You dedication to your goals is most admirable.

    1. Thank you so much for the kind words. Quite honestly, I didn't even try any vintage items from my heavier days. I was so happy to be able to fit into some "new" vintage, that I sold my other items. It has been quite an adjustment to find stuff to wear. I had to learn how to shop for my new body shape. Especially the "girls" area. I was huge before (DDD) and all my clothing had to be big enough to fit "them". Now, I don't even have to worry about that area at all. They are proportionate to my body now. Thanks again and thanks for taking the time to read my blog!
