Why we've been MIA

Soooooo, we've been sort of MIA lately. Why? Well, because we are hosting a pop up shop event here in Houston. We are so excited (it's in less than 2 weeks). We are up to 13 vendors now!

Things have been going great, it's just so time consuming. We haven't had a chance to list much on our Etsy shop. We've been hand washing, steaming, measuring, tagging, emailing vendors, shopping, etc.  The list goes on and on.

We promise, after April 9th, we'll be back in full swing! In the meantime, if you're in Houston, swing by Griff's Irish Pub's parking lot for our event. There will be a DJ for entertainment and the pub will be open for business. You know what that means in addition to all the vintage goodies? Lot's of food and booze!

Just a few pics of all the madness going on in my house right now. The pics of the clothing are just a tiny preview of what we have.  The pic of the box are our goodie bags which includes a a few things including the bookmarks in the last pic.

Have a great day lovelies and see you soon!

Celebrate March Wearing Green

March 17 is St. Patrick’s Day......do you have your Lucky Green ensemble ready to show off????  There will be lots of St. Patrick’s Day events going on all around so for those of you who are in the warmer states, this beautiful green 1960’s spring dress is perfect for enjoying the festivities!  The color is effervescent !
1960's Mod Dress

The dress shown below is a bit more reserved yet the color and pattern tastefully publicize a fun and vibrant persona.  This 1960’s checkered dress is perfect for the office or elegant dinner setting.
1960's Green Checked Dress

If you aren’t into the full spirit of the Irish then perhaps the classic Givenchy choker shown below will entice you into wearing green for the day.  It’s also a perfect vintage birthstone emblem!  Green is also the color for saving the earth!
1980's Emerald Givenchy Choker
Still not convinced to wear green for the day??? Well, if for no other reason, wear green for peace of mind!  According to color psychology, “Green is the pervasive color in the natural world ….. greens are seen as tranquil and refreshing…..Green is considered the color of peace and ecology.”
Lovelies, in the spirit of green I hope you all have peace and harmony in your everyday lives!

Treasury Challenge

Lady Lux Vintage is honored to be a part of a WONDERFUL Etsy team called the "Vintage Etsy Twitter Team" or the VETT.  We can't tell you how many friendships we've made by being part of such an awesome team. Our goal is  to help and promote each other. There are so many positive and friendly people on our team. We really could go on and on about all of them :)

Our team started a treasury challenge that will run until March 15th.  A treasury is a collection of items being sold from different sellers on Etsy that have a common theme and/or color.  Honestly, you can pretty much make it whatever you want. The goal is to make it look pretty.

Our challenge includes items being sold from members of the VETT on Etsy. The winner gets featured on our team blog and our team Facebook page!  We would totally love to win, but more importantly, we would love for one of our treasuries to make it to the front page of Etsy. That would give ALL of the teamies tremendous exposure, which is our ultimate goal! That's where YOU come in! If you follow Lady Lux Vintage on Twitter then you'll be able to see all our tweets about the treasuries being created for the VETT. All you have to do it click on them and comment on our treasuries! The more comments, the more popular our treasuries become. The more popular they become, the better our chance at getting on the front page of Etsy!

Here is just a sample of what they look like:

This was the first treasury Lady Lux Vintage (ldylux on Etsy) created. What do you think?
