New Adventures in Fashion

Happy hump day, chickadees!

Although I ADORE vintage, I also am a pretty crafty chick. That being said, I've ventured out into the world of jewelry.

Here are my first pair of leather feather earrings. I made them yesterday, posted them on my Facebook page and sold 2 pairs!I found my inspiration on Etsy and made my own versions.

Neon is HUGE for Spring, so I incorporated some neon colors.

I am now attempting my luck at a couple of necklaces. Here are some pics of the work in progress. I'm still debating on the placement of the pink and gold leaves and whether or not to make them into feathers like the above pic. I will definitely be making another pair of earrings using the pink and gold chevron pattern. The green and gold one will be my person necklace for our St. Patty's Day festivities.

I've been a busy little bee today.  So....what do you think?

VINTAGE COATS

Ahhhh! It’s finally starting to feel like winter here in Texas which means it’s time to pull out the coats! I’m sure those of you in the Northern states and Northern globe have already been feeling the cold temperatures but just because the weather is cold and the skies are gray does not mean that our wardrobe has to be compromised. If you are anything like me, black is an imperative part of my wardrobe and this black, wool, embroidered coat is perfect for those cold winter days upon us. Black is always classy and goes well with any attire and it can be worn casually or extravagantly. Whatever the fad is or your color preference check out online sellers before going to your local retail stores ! Chances are you will find a much better buy with vintage sellers, after all "the novelties of one generation are only the resuscitated fashions of the generation before last!"

My first clothing finds

It's been so busy here in our household. Senior pics, graduation invitations, graduation party invitations, shopping for our trip, etc, etc, etc. The list goes on and on. I say all this because I know I've been slacking with my posts. As soon as I get through  my sons graduation, I should be able to stay on top of this more. :)
