The Ultimate Vintage Dream Boat

When I was younger, I had a HUGE crush on Elvis. A few of my favorite movies were Elvis movies:

1. Viva Las Vegas
2. Paradise Hawaiian Style
3. Tickle Me (This is my fav)

While writing this post, I am watching #3 on youtube :)  If you've never watched an Elvis movie, I suggest you do so right NOW! He was sooooooooo handsome.  I remember drooling over that perfect face many times. I had tons of posters in my room (along with Billy Idol, but that's another post). I also loved his music. Watching this movie right now is making me think I need to create a new playlist on my Iphone after the movie is over.

I will leave you with some of those perfect pictures to send you off to dream land. I've got to get back to my movie :) My hubby is out of town, so I'll have to dream about Elvis tonight! lol

Can you say HOT!???

Love that smile!

P.S. I know what I want for Christmas this year....Elvis movies!!!

Vintage weddings

So, I'm sitting here watching David Tutera's My Fair Wedding and he's doing a "vintage" theme. The girl is absolutely adorable and has an old soul. She totally belonged in a different era.  Her dress was beautiful and so were her accessories. I started thinking about vintage wedding dresses and have actually been on the hunt for some myself, but no luck yet.

I did a search for some and came across the pic of Audrey Hepburn in My Fair Lady. Although it may have not been a wedding dress, it totally could have and still can be! I absolutely love it. I also came across a more modern version of it that is still stunning! Have a looksie below:

Isn't it GORGEOUS?

Hats Off To...

"A girl with a hat is just...SO vogue!"  One of my favorite lines from Sixteen Candles lines.

Keeping that in mind, I've been on a hat kick lately and since finding the paisley hat from yesterdays post, I decided to see what else is out there in vintage land in terms of hats.  Oh boy, oh boy, look what I found! My fear is that I will be using money from the sales at my Etsy store to satisfy this new hat obsession! lol

Ok, I could go on and on with more pics, so I tried to pick my favs. I'm generally a fedora hat person because it's just fits my face a little better. That being said, I am now in LOVE with cloches! I'm going to have to try one on before I commit to buying one.

I threw in the top hat because I think it would be awesome with a simple vintage wedding gown.

I am really digging the first felt wool hat too. Usually my closet is full of shoes. I might have to make room for some new hats!
